Record players
Four record players chosen for four ways of enjoying your records: a suitcase record player to get started, a wooden turntable with dust cover and USB recording, an all-in-one hi-fi record player with four speakers, and a premium automatic turntable. All of them play your 33 and 45 rpm records and have built-in Bluetooth.
How to choose a record player
Start with where it is going to play. A record player with built-in speakers works on its own as soon as it is plugged in: the simplest option for a bedroom, a study or a first listening corner. If you already have a hi-fi system or powered speakers, the RCA output lets you connect them for a fuller sound.
Speeds, cartridge and drive
Albums spin at 33 rpm and singles at 45 rpm; 78 rpm is for older shellac records. An Audio-Technica cartridge with a diamond stylus reads the groove more accurately and is gentler on your records. A belt drive isolates the platter from motor vibrations, which reduces background noise.
Bluetooth: receiving or transmitting
Mabillon, Saint-Michel and Trocadéro receive Bluetooth: you listen to music from your phone through their speakers or through the hi-fi system they are connected to. Check each model’s page for extra features, such as recording your vinyl to a USB stick.
Where to put your record player
Place it on a sturdy piece of furniture at hand height, away from speaker vibrations. Our record player stands are designed for exactly that: a top for the turntable and compartments for your sleeves just below.
