Vinyl record wall holders

A vinyl record wall holder turns your sleeves into decor: a row of favourite records above the cabinet, a cascade in the hallway, a rotation that follows what you’re listening to. Clear acrylic or wood, singly or in sets, each holder keeps a sleeve upright against the wall.

Each product page gives the dimensions, the material and whether screws and wall plugs are included.

Displaying your records on the wall

Displaying a few sleeves on the wall shows what you listen to without cluttering the cabinet. A good holder is discreet, sturdy and easy to put up.

Acrylic or wood

  • Clear acrylic fades away and leaves the sleeve centre stage. Galerie is a set of 6 acrylic holders, with a maximum of 2 kg per holder. Vendôme is sold singly.
  • Wood matches an oak or rustic wood cabinet. Opéra displays sleeves in a cascade, Sèvres is a set of 6 wooden holders, screws and wall plugs included.

Putting them up properly

First check on the product page whether screws and wall plugs are included: for some designs, they aren’t. Choose them to suit your wall: plaster, plasterboard, brick or concrete. Draw a level line before drilling and allow the spacing needed for an LP sleeve, around 31.5 cm square, plus a little breathing room between two records.

Arranging the wall

  • In a row: one line above the record player stand, at eye level.
  • In a grid: 6 or 9 sleeves in a square for a gallery effect.
  • In a cascade: several overlapping sleeves on a vertical holder.

Sleeve on display, record protected

The simplest approach is to display the sleeve and keep the record stored separately in its inner sleeve, upright. Avoid walls in full sun, which fades colours, and walls above a radiator.

The weight of a sleeve

An empty sleeve is light, but a record left inside, especially a double album, makes it heavier. Stay within the maximum weight per holder when it’s given, such as the 2 kg per holder for Galerie.

At what height?

Put the central row at standing eye level, generally between 1.40 m and 1.60 m from the floor. Above a record player stand, leave enough space to open the lid and handle the turntable without touching the sleeves on display.

Rotating as you listen

A wall holder lets you rotate your selection: records of the month, new finds, sleeves by the same designer. For the record that’s playing, a now playing record stand on the cabinet completes the setup.
