Now playing record stands
A record display stand shows the sleeve of the record you’re listening to, upright next to the turntable. That’s the “now playing” idea: everyone can see what’s spinning, and the sleeve stays safe out of the crate while you listen.

Displaying the record that’s playing
While you listen, the sleeve often ends up lying flat on the cabinet or the sofa. A stand gives it a place, upright, and turns the listening corner into a small shop window.
Where to put it?
On the top, next to the turntable, or on a shelf just above. Leave enough distance so it doesn’t get in the way of the tonearm or the lid. On a narrow unit, a wall-mounted stand or a holder on a nearby shelf is an alternative.

Display stand or wall holder

The record itself stays protected
The stand holds the sleeve while the record is on the turntable. After listening, put the record back in its inner sleeve, then in its sleeve, and store it upright. Avoid leaving a sleeve in full sun for long: the colours can fade.
The right size
A stand designed for LPs must support a sleeve of around 31.5 cm square without it tipping over. Check its width and depth on the product page: a deeper stand holds gatefold sleeves or box sets better, while a compact one slips onto a narrow shelf.
Combining several stands
Two or three stands lined up on a shelf form a small display: the record that’s playing, your latest find, a classic you want to hear again. Change the selection from week to week.
